Dhammapada Study Group with Kruba Chris

The Dhammapada is a classic sutra beloved by Buddhist traditions around the world. This short text was created in the early years of Buddhism to make the Buddha’s teachings more accessible to a broader audience.

It offers an introductory guide to spiritual practice and contains some of the Buddha’s deepest insights into the nature of reality. At every point, the Dhammapada asks the reader difficult questions: What is a meaningful life? Are we on a path to waking up? What are the obstacles that lie ahead?

We will use the Dhammapada as a starting point to inquire into the core themes of the Dharma.

We will use the following translation of the Dhammapada for our reading and discussion: The Dhammapada: Verses on the Way (Modern Library Classics) Paperback — January 9, 2007 by Buddha (Author), Glenn Wallis (Author).

This study group is suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners alike and will be led by Kruba Chris.

Meetings will be in-person, but Zoom participants are also welcome to join using the following link and passcode: https://bit.ly/3fMCa6e, passcode: 674394
