Please join us for the Jukai (Precepts Ceremony) for Sarah Pinnock, Karen Dodwell, and Christopher Cruz on Sunday, December 12 at 2:00pm at the San Antonio Zen Center.

The ceremony of receiving the precepts is an ancient tradition in Mahayana Buddhism, and is symbolic of the vow to live the life of the Bodhisattva (living and practicing for the benefit of all beings). As part of the ceremony, the ordinands will receive Buddha’s Robe, lineage papers, and a Dharma name.
