It’s been seven years since San Antonio Zen began renting our current home. In that time, we’ve added new programs – classes, retreats, workshops and meditation instruction — that offer the members of our community an opportunity to learn about Buddhism and practice meditation in the Soto Zen tradition of Shunryu Suzuki. We also offer a place for other programs such as Refuge Recovery, Yoga, and guest speakers and workshops.
To continue carrying out our mission, the time has come for San Antonio Zen to find a larger home that offers meeting space, housing for retreat participants, and a place for our Guiding Teacher, Colin Gipson – a place that will give us a place to grow. While we have received some donor commitments, we still need to raise additional funds to purchase and renovate a property. We hope to raise an additional $50,000 through GoFundMe to help us realize our goal.
We hope you’ll visit our link at http://www.gofundme.com/sanantoniozen to make a donation, and that you’ll forward the link to your friends. Any contribution – no matter how small – is greatly appreciated.
Our classes, retreats, workshops and other offerings are funded solely by the generous donations of our members and guests.
